Do not mistake festival participation for ordinary, walk-in school admission. Visit Busan lists free access Tue–Sun 09:00–17:00, closed Mondays, but event-day restrictions should be checked with the venue.
Why go
Visit Busan lists roughly a 10-minute walk from Exit 4 of Dongnae Station (Metro Lines 1 and 4), or about 4 minutes on foot from Boksan-dong Community Center bus stop. See the gateway, former study hall and ritual court, and respect restrictions on sacred or closed rooms. Allow extra travel and hills for the fortress or museum, which are not in the same compound.
