Gupo Market
A traditional market reached on foot from Gupo Station through Manse Street in Busan's Buk-gu. Its roots in Nakdong River ferry trade survive in the mix of permanent stalls and periodic market days ending in 3 or 8, with produce, seafood, household goods and Gupo-style noodles. It is not one shopping complex with uniform hours.
The October 16–18 Gupo Naru Festival's ferry-port and noodle activities are in Hwamyeong Ecological Park, not inside Gupo Market. This remains an everyday neighborhood market, so check individual shop hours and park entry points separately.
Why go
Walk from Korail or Metro Gupo Station past the independence-movement murals of Manse Street into the market's covered and open lanes. For the riverside park, use the separate Geumbit Noeul Bridge nearer the market; the newer Gamdong Narutgil Riverwalk links the station directly to the park. The lotus-field festival site lies farther inside the large park.
