Busan Citizens Park
A 471,000㎡ central-city park created on the former Camp Hialeah site, combining broad lawns, walking routes, public art and a small history museum that explains the land's colonial, military and civic-reclamation history.

Vichycombo / Wikimedia CommonsSources & further readingThe Busan Citizens Park History Museum’s October ‘Mission Explorer Around the Park’ runs on selected weekends from October 10–31, 2026. Sessions are 10:00–12:00 or 13:30–15:30 and combine a heritage walk with mission activities. Each team is one child in grades 1–6 and one accompanying guardian; up to eight teams are accepted per session. Online registration is first-come, first-served from October 1 at 10:00 to October 29 at 17:00. Check the reservation page for each session’s availability and fee. The museum notice and city reservation listing disagree on the total number of sessions, so no total is stated here.
Why go
Use it when you want a green break without leaving central Busan, or pair the park with Seomyeon and Jeonpo for a non-coastal half day. The history museum adds context that turns the park from a generic lawn into a place about Busan's 20th-century urban history.
