Peace Park (Nam-gu, Busan)

A separate civic park in Daeyeon's UN Peace and Culture district, near the UN Memorial Cemetery, Busan Museum and UN Peace Memorial Hall. Walkways, open lawns and memorial-themed sculptures also serve community events. The 28th UN Peace Festival has been announced here for 23–25 October 2026.

Why it matters now

Nam-gu Cultural Foundation announced the 23–25 October UN Peace Festival on 6 October, but daily festival hours, stage times, temporary restrictions and entrance points have not yet been finalized.

Why go

A quieter outdoor complement to the area's history sites, or a venue for community performances and participation during the festival. Unlike the neighbouring military cemetery, this is an everyday civic park; do not mistake the two sites for one venue.

The 28th UN Peace Festival is announced for 23–25 October 2026 at Peace Park in Nam-gu, Busan. Under the theme ‘Open Memories, Open Future’, the organizer plans five zones for remembrance, participation, healing, performances and the future, plus community activities, food and linked civic exhibitions. Acts announced include Park Seo-jin, We Are The Night and Sweet Sorrow, but their performance dates/times are not yet specified. Daily opening hours, reservation rules, fees and entry points have not been confirmed. This venue is Peace Park, not the separate UN Memorial Cemetery. From Daeyeon Station on Line 2, follow the UN Memorial Cemetery/Busan Museum corridor and check the final festival entrance.
