Hoedong Reservoir: Sanghyeon Village & Bueongsan Trail
A quieter freshwater-and-forest walk in northern Busan's Geumjeong District, distinct from the crowded seafront. Begin in Sanghyeon Village, enjoy reservoir views, and choose a short viewpoint outing toward Bueongsan or a longer signed Galmaetgil Route 8-1 walk toward Ttangmoesan. The full official trail continues well beyond the lakefront; do not mistake the full 10.7 km route for a 30-minute village stroll.

Busan's official Galmaetgil guide describes a 10.7 km, roughly 4-hour Route 8-1. Some route summaries use different totals or segment ordering; the signed trail and current notices are preferable to blindly copying a blog's single '2-hour walk'. The lakeshore is a protected water-supply area, not a swimming spot. Recent personal blogs offer walkability impressions but do not establish today's surface condition, business hours or trail closure status.
Why go
Visit for foliage, a lakeside mountain viewpoint and an alternative to Busan's beach circuit. The city's signed Route 8-1 divides Sanghyeon Village to Bueongsan (2.7 km, about 50 minutes), Bueongsan to Ttangmoesan (1.3 km, about 25 minutes), and much longer continuation toward Myeongjang and Dongcheongyo. Terrain and time vary; pick a turnaround point before setting off.
