Busan Hoedong Lake & Oryundae Walking Zone

A small, separate nature visit in Busan's northern inland area. Use Sanghyeon Village for the official Galmaetgil Route 8-1 entry toward Bueongsan/Oryundae views, or approach Ttangmoesan and its forest paths from the Oryun neighborhood. These are different access choices, not one station-side waterfront promenade.

What it feels like now

Busan Hoedong Lake & Oryundae Walking Zone

Visitors who want a scenic but short walk should choose one lake entry and a clear turnaround point; the entire city-listed Route 8-1 extends about 10.7 km and takes around four hours at standard pace. Sanghyeon Village starts in Seondong and requires a bus or car transfer. The city lists local Geumjeong 3-1 service toward Sanghyeon, whereas personal Oryun-dong blogs describe different bus approaches. Do not conflate the trail entry points, or promise present-day barefoot-path conditions from old photos.

What's new

New & interesting

Busan's official Route 8-1 remains the geographic reference. A 2026 traveler blog highlights the actual appeal of the lake-and-forest walk, while conflicting online estimates of time, route length and access need caution. This is a drinking-water supply area: stay on marked footpaths and heed restrictions. Site-specific October 2026 closure notices, parking conditions and transport frequency were not independently confirmed.
