Changdeokgung Palace and Secret Garden
World Heritage palace in Jongno. In September and October, regular palace halls are open 09:00–18:00, last entry 17:00, normally closed Mondays. The Secret Garden (Huwon) needs its own timed, capacity-limited ticket in addition to general palace admission. Language-specific Garden entry sessions vary, and the Garden entrance is at least a 15-minute walk from the palace gate. A special reading activity at Seonhyangjae runs Oct 7–18 for visitors holding a Garden admission; it is not freely accessible from the street.
The autumn Royal Culture Festival runs through Oct 11, and special reading at Seonhyangjae through Oct 18. Confirm Garden session inventory and holiday/closure changes with the palace.

Visit palace architecture from Anguk, or reserve a separate timed Garden visit before making it the anchor of your day. Official standard adult admission: KRW 3,000 for halls plus KRW 5,000 for the Garden, with exceptions and discounts; the multi-palace pass excludes the Garden.
