Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Festival 2026
October 16–18, 2026 heritage, nature and community festival at Geumjeongsanseong Plaza and Geumseong-dong mountain village (Busan Geumjeong-gu, Sanseong-ro 501-2), not at Dongnae Fortress or Beomeosa. Highlights include guided eco/village walks, fortress-building activities, performances and village markets. A confirmed history talk 'Geumjeongsanseong as a Center of National Defense' with storyteller Sun Kim is scheduled for Sunday October 18 at 13:30 at the festival site. Admission is generally free but some activities cost extra. 'Gagahoho' advance-booked family sessions require a guardian for children, and confirmed participants should arrive 10 minutes early. Metro alone does not reach the hilltop village: confirm a current mountain bus/shuttle and return service. The three festival dates do not define all daily activity hours.

The festival interprets Geumjeongsan's national-park landscape and fortress culture. The organizer's October 8 notice states that selected village partners grant a 5% discount only with the detachable coupon in the official guidebook, valid October 16–November 30; some gifts depend on receipt and limited quantity. Confirm participants for advance-reserved programs are notified separately by text, not automatically upon request. Weather can alter or restrict activities. Some district festival pages still show 2025 shuttle schedules: do not reuse those as 2026 departure times.
