2026 Daejeon Bread Festival

The 2026 Daejeon Bread Festival runs October 17-18 around Expo Science Park and Hanbit Tower. Daejeon City’s October guide lists festival hours of 13:00-20:30 and says 120 local bakeries will participate in the 'Bread Station', including 56 Korea Bakery Association members and 64 shops selected by open lottery. The festival also includes a Bread Gallery and a Daejeon Bread Map designed to help visitors continue exploring participating bakeries after the event. General admission is free according to national tourism/culture listings. Individual products can sell out, and we did not test foreign-language information, cashless payment, queue conditions, allergy labeling or accessibility.

Why it matters now

The event is two weeks away and current official information now makes the local-bakery structure explicit. It is useful not just as a food festival but as a temporary directory of Daejeon’s wider bakery scene.
