VISIT BUSAN PASS is most useful when you plan to visit several participating attractions and can realistically use enough benefits to justify the price.
Choose the pass type around your itinerary
The current official lineup includes 24-hour and 48-hour time passes plus BIG 3 and BIG 5 quantity-based passes. The 24-hour and 48-hour versions start their validity when the first qualifying attraction ticket is issued, so do not activate one late in the day unless that timing is intentional. BIG passes are better suited to travelers who want a smaller number of selected attractions without a continuous countdown.
As of this review, the official site lists KRW 55,000 for 24 hours, KRW 85,000 for 48 hours, KRW 45,000 for BIG 3 and KRW 65,000 for BIG 5. Recheck before purchase because prices and partner benefits can change.
Physical card and mobile pass are not interchangeable
The mobile pass is shown in the official app as a live QR code. The operator says screenshots, printed copies and PDF captures are not accepted. It also does not function as a transport card.
The physical pass can be topped up separately for transit using the card's prepaid transport function. That stored-value balance is separate from the attraction pass itself: the pass does not mean unlimited subway or bus rides. Top up the physical card at supported convenience stores or subway locations before relying on it for transport.
Buying as an international visitor
The official purchase channel states that overseas-issued credit and debit cards are accepted. Because the pass is for foreign visitors, staff may ask to see a passport when a benefit is redeemed.
Check each attraction before activating
A valid pass does not override an attraction's closing day, reservation rule, capacity limit or seasonal operating hours. Review the current partner page for the places you actually intend to visit, then plan the first activation around opening times and travel distance.
Refunds and unused passes
The official purchase policy allows cancellation of an unused pass within the stated eligibility window, but once the pass or a qualifying benefit has been activated, refund options become restricted. Treat the current purchase/refund screen as the final rule at checkout.
Practical decision rule
Choose the physical card if you want one object that can also hold a separate transit balance. Choose mobile if you prefer app-based entry and do not need a physical transit card. Choose a time pass for a dense attraction itinerary; choose BIG 3 or BIG 5 when you want fewer selected attractions without racing a continuous clock.
