KTX Ulsan Station is not in the middle of Ulsan’s main sightseeing districts, so the practical question is which corridor you need after the train. Ulsan Metropolitan City currently lists limousine bus routes 5001, 5002, 5003, 5004 and 5005 as the KTX-station-linked network. The routes fan out through different parts of the city rather than functioning as one generic ‘downtown shuttle.’
Before boarding, match the bus number to your actual destination. Route 5001 serves the Taehwagang Station/City Hall side; route 5002 reaches the Ilsan Beach/Hyundai Heavy Industries corridor; route 5004 serves the University of Ulsan/Sinbok side; and route 5005 serves Ulsan Airport and northern districts. The current official table lists average intervals of 20 minutes for 5001, 26 minutes for 5002, and 30 minutes for 5003, 5004 and 5005.
Late arrival is where the official table is especially useful. It currently lists the last departure from the KTX Ulsan Station end at 24:00 for routes 5001, 5002, 5004 and 5005, while route 5003 is listed at 23:25. Treat these as current published timetable facts, not a guarantee that your exact stop or connection will remain practical after delays.
Check the current Ulsan transport page or live bus information before your train arrives, and keep a taxi as a fallback when the remaining bus would require a long cross-city transfer. For hotels, save the Korean address or nearest major stop so you can match it to the correct corridor.
