Check the park before you go
The Hangang is a chain of large riverside parks, not one compact attraction. Seoul’s Smart Seoul Map can show nearby restrooms, bicycle access points, parking and leisure/cultural facilities without requiring an app login.
Know the main rules
Seoul’s current visitor guidance says littering can lead to fines, tents and open flames are limited to designated areas, dogs must be leashed and waste collected, and excessive drinking/noise that disturbs others is prohibited.
Fishing and personal mobility
Fishing is allowed only in designated zones. Electric scooters and motorcycles are not permitted outside bicycle paths. Do not assume a wide riverside path means every vehicle or activity is allowed everywhere.
If something goes wrong
The city directs international visitors to 1330 for 24/7 multilingual travel help and interpretation; the service can connect to 119 or 112 when needed.
Event days change the experience
Festival schedules and large events can change crowding, access and available space. Check the Hangang page and map on the day, especially if you plan a picnic, cycling route or evening visit.
