Pyeongchang is not one compact town around a single station. The county is geographically wide, and the practical first step is to choose an arrival point that matches the part of Pyeongchang you want to visit.

Pyeongchang County's official tourism FAQ lists KTX access via Pyeongchang Station and Jinbu Station. It also separates intercity-bus terminals by area: Pyeongchang Terminal for Pyeongchang-eup and Mitan, Daehwa Terminal for Daehwa and Bangnim, Jangpyeong Terminal for Bongpyeong and Yongpyeong, Jinbu Terminal for Jinbu, and Hoenggye Terminal for Daegwallyeong.

That matters because attractions are spread across very different zones. Odaesan and Woljeongsa are on the Jinbu side; Bongpyeong is better planned around the Jangpyeong/Bongpyeong side; ranches and resort areas in Daegwallyeong are a different last-mile problem again.

The county directs travelers to its public-transport information system for current local and intercity bus schedules. That system is Korean-language, so travelers who cannot use it comfortably should save the relevant station/terminal name in Korean and consider the 1330 travel hotline for help.

Plan in this order: pick the attraction cluster first, then the matching KTX station or terminal, then check the current local bus or taxi for the final leg. Do not book 'Pyeongchang' transportation without checking which part of the county the stop actually serves.
