Pohang is not a destination where getting to the rail station means you have reached the waterfront sights. Plan the city as separate transport stages: arrive at Pohang Station or the intercity bus terminal, then make a local transfer toward downtown, Jukdo Market, the coast, Guryongpo or Homigot.
Pohang City operates an official bus-information service for route and stop searches. The city’s official tourism page also lists weekend city-tour courses that start from Pohang Station and/or the intercity bus terminal and continue to major attractions. One full-day route currently includes Guryongpo, Homigot, the Homi Peninsula coastal walk and Jukdo Market before returning to the station/terminal.
The city tour is useful when its operating day matches your trip, but it should not be treated as a general shuttle. Check reservation/seat rules and the exact course before relying on it. On ordinary days, use the city bus information service for the final leg and leave extra time for coastal destinations, which are spread out along the city’s shoreline.
