Jeonju is a bus-first city for visitors. The city raised ordinary city-bus fares on August 1, 2025. The current official city notice lists adult cash fare at KRW 1,700, youth at KRW 1,350 and children at KRW 850, with a KRW 50 discount when paying by transportation card.
The same city guidance kept the free-transfer system: use a transportation card, tap when getting off, and make the next eligible transfer within 40 minutes. Because this is a local rule tied to card use, do not expect cash payment to preserve the transfer benefit.
For route planning, use Jeonju’s official traffic-information center. It provides stop searches, predicted arrivals, route schedules and live bus positions. The city explicitly warns that predicted arrival times can differ from actual conditions and that last-bus times may change with traffic and demand.
This matters around weekends and public holidays because some routes run reduced schedules. A saved screenshot from a weekday can therefore be wrong for your return trip.
Practical next step: before leaving Jeonju Station, a bus terminal or Hanok Village, search the exact stop in the official system, confirm the direction and final return service, and keep enough balance on your transport card for the day.
