Gunsan City Tour is useful if you want to cover the modern-history district or farther coastal/island areas without building every local-bus connection yourself. It is not a hop-on bus that you can safely assume will be waiting when you arrive.
Gunsan City says the tour operates by advance reservation. You can reserve online or by phone with Eunpa Tour at 063-463-7112, and the booking is completed only after the required fare is paid. For the course departing from Gunsan Intercity Bus Terminal and Gunsan Station, at least 10 reservations are required and the city says booking and payment must be completed by 17:00 on Thursday of the operating week. The Iksan Station course also needs at least 10, with a Wednesday 17:00 cutoff; museum-departure courses need at least 5, with a Thursday 17:00 cutoff.
Do not confuse the boarding points. The city lists Gunsan Intercity Bus Terminal platform 11, Gunsan Station, GSCO, a stop opposite Iksan Station, and the Modern History Museum parking area for different courses. Confirm the exact course before you travel to the pickup point.
The city also warns that itineraries can change with weather or other conditions. Some routes require substantial walking: the official notice flags at least about one hour of walking in the Gogunsan Islands area and at least about two hours in the Time Travel Village area. Travelers who cannot walk for long periods should check the exact course before paying.
The online booking page currently requires city-site login or identity verification. International visitors who cannot complete that flow should use the published phone reservation contact rather than assuming an online reservation succeeded.
