Gangwon's tourist-taxi platform can be useful when you want to combine rural or spread-out attractions without building several local-bus transfers. The current official platform, operated by the Gangwon Tourism Organization, has Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese sites and lists products for Wonju, Gangneung, Sokcho and Chuncheon.

For Wonju, the current English page lists three-hour products for Sogeumsan Grand Valley, Museum SAN, Hanji Theme Park and Guryongsa/Chiaksan, with displayed starting prices from KRW 34,485. Treat the displayed 'from' price as a product starting point, not a universal taxi fare: the exact course, included services and final price must be checked on the product page before booking.

The service is reservation-based rather than an ordinary street taxi. Use the official booking site and keep the reservation record. The platform's current help center lists +82-2-2238-2895 and weekday office hours of 10:00-18:00, closed on weekends and public holidays on the English site.

The operator posted a fare-update notice dated March 16, 2026, so old blog prices should not be treated as current. Recheck the live product page at payment time. Foreign-card acceptance, cancellation rules and pickup details can differ by product and were not independently tested in this review.

This option makes the most sense when your destinations are geographically spread out or ordinary bus frequency is poor. For a simple city-center trip, a normal metered taxi or public transport may be cheaper and easier.
