The Expo/science and Dunsan culture area is one of Daejeon's most useful visitor clusters, but the subway does not drop you at the door of every attraction. The practical rail spine is Daejeon Station → Line 1 → Government Complex Station, followed by a destination-specific last leg.

For DCC, the convention center's official directions give several options after Line 1. One route uses Government Complex Station Exit 4 and bus 618 to the DCC terminus. Another official Daejeon Station example uses Line 1 to Government Complex Station, then transfers near Dunsan Police Station to buses 705 or 707. DCC 1 and DCC 2 are separate buildings, so confirm which one your event uses before boarding the final bus.

For the National Science Museum, use Government Complex Station Exit 3, then the Dunsan Police Station stop. The museum lists Metropolitan 1001, 301, 318, 604, 705 and 707 for the transfer, getting off at National Science Museum or Shinsegae. The museum also states that a taxi from Government Complex Station is about 2 km and roughly five minutes. This is often simpler when carrying children, luggage or exhibition materials.

For Hanbat Arboretum and Daejeon Arts Center, Government Complex Station Exit 3 is the common subway anchor. Both official pages describe a walk of roughly 15–20 minutes. Buses 606, 618 and 911 serve the Hanbat Arboretum/Arts Center stops, and the Arts Center specifically lists bus 606 from Daejeon Station as a direct alternative to the subway route.

For Daejeon Municipal Yeonjeong Korean Traditional Music Center, do not assume the same 15–20 minute walk rule. The venue's official directions list buses 606, 618 and 911 at the Daejeon Museum of Art stop, and 104, 301, 318, 514, 604, 705, 918, 606 and 911 at the Seo-gu Health Center stop. Save the Korean venue name `대전시립연정국악원` and check the best live bus route for your starting point and performance time.

The key planning rule is simple: do not treat Government Complex Station as the destination itself. It is the transfer anchor for a wide district. Save the exact Korean destination and building name, then check the final bus or walking route on the day of travel. Bus routes and travel times can change with traffic, road works or event operations.
