Yeongdo Bridge

A historic bascule bridge linking Nampo-dong and Yeongdo, useful both as a quick old-downtown stop and as the practical gateway into Yeongdo. The bridge itself is open for passage continuously; the lifting ceremony is a separate scheduled event.

Why it matters now

As of September–October 2026, the regular lifting ceremony has returned to Saturdays 14:00–14:15 after the special July–August night-lift program. This makes Saturday early afternoon a concrete anchor for combining Nampo, Jagalchi and Yeongdo.

Why go

See one of Busan’s strongest pieces of living port infrastructure and modern history in one place: the bridge connects the mainland old downtown with Yeongdo and still lifts for a short public ceremony.
