Taehwagang National Garden

This roughly 830,000-square-meter urban national garden follows the Taehwa River. Its four-kilometer Simni Bamboo Grove, seasonal gardens and riverside paths bring Ulsan’s river landscape into the city.

Why it matters now

Ulsan’s tourism guide lists pink muhly as a September–October seasonal sight. The Ulsan Industrial Festival runs October 8–11, 2026, at the Nam-gu riverside section of the garden, where performance and activity visitors may gather. The festival is confined to that event area, not the entire garden; no separate closure or access-control notice was found in this check.

Why go

Combine a walk beneath the bamboo, river views and seasonal flower beds. Ulsan lists the Simni Bamboo Grove area as an accessible tourism site, so some sections may suit wheelchair users and families with strollers. The grounds are extensive; choose a zone and allow time to walk.
