Seoul Hall of Urbanism & Architecture

A public exhibition and cultural space beside Seoul City Hall devoted to urbanism, architecture and the changing city. Built on the former National Tax Service annex site and formally opened in 2019, the mostly underground complex combines galleries and event spaces with the open Seoul MARU roof/plaza above.

Why it matters now

The venue currently hosts the 18th Seoul Architecture Festival through October 11, 2026, making the building itself a useful anchor for current architecture coverage as well as a durable Place page.

Why go

It is one of the easiest central-Seoul places to see architecture, planning and city-design exhibitions without a major detour, and it can be paired naturally with Deoksugung, Seoul Plaza and the City Hall area.
