Seonyudo Park
An ecological park on an island at Yanghwa Bridge, created by reusing a former water-purification facility. Look for the aquatic botanical garden, water purification garden, Time Garden and river viewpoints. Seoul Parks lists park opening hours as 06:00–24:00; the Seonyudo Story Center has different hours, 09:00–18:00. Official address: 343 Seonyu-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu. Seoul City's English page suggests Seonyudo Station (Line 9), Exit 2. Ordinary visitor parking is not available inside the park (other than designated accessible parking).
A reliable autumn weekend walking option. Distinguish the park's 06:00–24:00 access from the Story Center's 09:00–18:00 hours. Check rain-related restrictions, temporary closures, program reservations and accessible routing with the operator before visiting.
Why go
For a riverside walk combining water views with the reuse of industrial structures. Cross the pedestrian Seonyu Bridge and follow the old treatment-plant gardens. IMPORTANT: Seoul Parks' visitor rules restrict bringing food to protect wildlife and prohibit camping, cooking and open flames. Do not plan this as a bring-your-own-food picnic. Booked nature programs have their own arrangements.
