Seonridan-gil

An old-downtown street area behind the former Chungnam Provincial Government building in Jung-gu, reshaped with open-style Korean walls, small public spaces, cafes and restaurants while retaining the atmosphere of central Daejeon’s historic core.

Why it matters now

Seonridan-gil is still useful this weekend as part of a wider old-downtown walk, but it is not the October 10–11 Jung-gu Book Festival main venue. Jung-gu’s latest official materials place the main festival at Woorideul Park; use Seonridan-gil as a nearby café-and-street stop before or after the festival.

Why go

It is a walkable starting point for exploring Jung-gu’s old downtown and connects naturally onward to Jungangno underground shopping, Sungsimdang, Euneungjeongi Culture Street and nearby cultural sites.
