Samnak Ecological Park

A vast riverside ecological park in Sasang-gu on the Nakdong River, combining wetlands and migratory-bird habitat with lawns, walking and cycling paths, sports facilities and large event grounds. It is also the venue for the Busan International Rock Festival.

Why it matters now

The park is especially useful to understand during the October 2–4, 2026 Busan International Rock Festival, when free shuttle service runs from Sasang Station and the site hosts extensive visitor facilities.

Why go

Go for a very different side of Busan: broad river landscapes, open lawns and ecological space in West Busan rather than the city’s better-known beaches. During major festivals, the park becomes one of Busan’s largest outdoor cultural venues.
