Pocheon Art Valley

A former granite quarry in Pocheon transformed into a cultural attraction with Cheonjuho Lake, granite cliffs, outdoor art and a planetarium. A separately ticketed monorail serves the steep sections.

Why it matters now

The official site lists current non-resident individual admission at KRW 6,000 for adults, KRW 4,000 for youth/military, KRW 2,000 for children and KRW 3,000 for seniors; monorail tickets are separate. Operating days and hours may change through date-specific notices, and the monorail has a Monday-morning inspection period, so check before setting out.

Why go

See the unusual lake-and-cliff landscape left by quarrying, along with an outdoor sculpture park and planetarium. The route climbs steeply from the entrance, so consider the monorail if walking uphill is difficult. Entry into the lake is prohibited.
