Peace Park (World Cup Park), Seoul
Peace Park is the level, walkable green area of Seoul's larger World Cup Park in Mapo-gu, with a pond and Peace Plaza. Do not confuse it with Haneul Park's hilltop silver-grass fields, which require a separate approach and have seasonal opening hours. The 19th Mapo Naru Salted Shrimp Festival takes place at Peace Plaza on October 16–18, 2026. Festival entry is free; food and purchases are not. Walk toward Peace Park from World Cup Stadium Station (Line 6), Exit 1, allowing extra time beyond the park entrance to find the festival plaza.
The Mapo Naru Salted Shrimp Festival is scheduled here Friday October 16 (10:30–21:00), Saturday October 17 (09:00–21:00), and Sunday October 18 (10:00–20:30). These are event hours, not the park's opening hours. Haneul Park's silver-grass festival begins October 17 nearby but at a different section of World Cup Park; check program and traffic notices.
Why go
A useful park-and-festival anchor for walking by the pond and combining World Cup Stadium district sights. The park itself is free; paid festival purchases are separate. An onward trip to Haneul Park for silver grass takes additional walking and separate opening-hour checks.
