National Museum of World Writing Systems
A national museum in Songdo, Incheon devoted to writing systems across cultures. The museum presents the history and diversity of scripts and is the venue for the Korean Braille centennial exhibition opening October 7, 2026.
From Dots to the World: 100 Years of Korean Braille opened on October 7, 2026, in the museum’s first-floor special exhibition hall and runs through February 14, 2027. It traces the history and present of Korean Braille, Hunmaengjeongeum, first presented by Songam Park Du-seong in 1926. Letter Land, the children’s area, has a partial-renovation closure notice through November 16; families should check availability before visiting.
