National Museum of Korea
Korea's national history and art museum in Seoul's Yongsan district. Permanent galleries are free; selected temporary exhibitions are separately ticketed. Regular hours: 09:30–17:30 on Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri/Sun and 09:30–21:00 on Wed/Sat (last entry 30 minutes before closing). The outdoor garden is open 07:00–22:00; Children's Museum access uses reserved timed sessions.
For October 9–11 visitors, Saturday's regular 21:00 close allows a longer afternoon and evening visit. The Korean Table special exhibition runs through October 25, but requires its own pricing/booking check. Recheck any public-holiday operating change before departure.
Why go
An indoor anchor for Korean history, ceramics and visual art, with gardens and nearby Yongsan Family Park. Museum access is different from tickets for temporary exhibitions or the reserved Children's Museum.
