National Memorial Museum of Forced Mobilization (Busan)
A history and remembrance museum in Busan's Daeyeon UN Peace and Culture district documenting the experiences and testimony of Koreans mobilized under Japanese colonial rule. It is a distinct building on Honggok-ro, not an exhibition hall inside Busan Museum or the UN Memorial Cemetery.

Mztourist / Wikimedia CommonsSources & further readingOfficial Korean and current English homepages checked on 9 Oct 2026 give 09:30–17:30 and last admission 17:00. Older internal English pages still show 10:00–18:00, while a third-party listing displays 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–16:00; the CURRENT visitor guide must prioritize the museum's live Korean Plan Your Visit and cross-check with Visit Busan, not repeat the outdated hours. The homepage displays 'currently closed' under its 11:00 daily guided interpretation block; this does NOT mean the whole museum is closed. Confirm tour availability separately.
Why go
Use the archives, victims' testimony and historical exhibits to understand forced mobilisation under Japan's colonial rule. Combine, respectfully and without rushing, with the UN Memorial Cemetery or Busan Museum on a history-focused day; allow extra transport and elevation change rather than promising an effortless continuous walk. Educational workshops target specific age groups and require checking individual schedules.
