Myeongji Ocean City Coastal Greenway & Bird Lookout
An everyday coastal walking-and-birdwatching corridor along Myeongji Ocean City, with a sheltered pine-forest belt, separate paved pedestrian and bicycle tracks, estuary/tidal-flat views and the Myeongji bird lookout. This is a calm residential coast rather than a lifeguarded swimming beach or a ticketed city attraction.

A 2025 CC0 photo explicitly locates its estuary sunset beside Myeongji Bird Observatory. These are stable landscape references, not confirmation of October 2026 bird counts, weather, repairs or plant blooming.
Why go
Choose a short flat walk around Myeongji Bird Observatory and the coastal forest, not the entire several-kilometre greenbelt in a supposed 15-minute circuit. Look toward the protected tidal flats and passing birds without entering restricted habitats. Evening estuary light can be atmospheric; strong coastal winds, exposed seawall edges and bike traffic deserve care. Restaurants and convenience stops are set back on the residential-street side.
