Why it matters now

Checked against Gwangju Tourism on October 9, 2026: the outdoor grounds are listed as open 24 hours with no regular closing day. The page also lists an accessible restroom and a wheelchair stair lift at the memorial hall; it does not give indoor-center hours.

Why go

Walk through a memorial landscape that connects Gwangju’s civic history with everyday public space. If you want to enter the memorial culture center, check separately: indoor facilities may keep different hours from the park grounds.
