Macdo Ecological Park
A 6.9-km Nakdong estuary park in western Busan, with reed marshes, lotus wetlands, aquatic-plant beds, winter bird habitat and sports fields. Select an entrance and route; this is not one compact photo stop.
Verified 2026 visitor change: the bicycle RENTAL facility has been temporarily suspended since May 1, 2026 (the cycle path itself is not stated to be closed). The city's October 1 park guidance also says bird feeding grounds/wetlands have access restrictions November–February. Lotus season is mainly June–September, so October is not a guaranteed lotus-flower trip; plan for reeds and waterside walking. The 6.5-km full route is not a short stop.
Why go
Take Gangseo village bus 13 to Macdo Ecological Park and walk about five minutes toward the river. Choose the metasequoia path, lotus wetland or water-plant garden rather than attempting the whole site. The city's 6.5-km full trail takes about 2–2.5 hours on foot. Respect winter bird-protection restrictions and avoid unmarked marsh.
