Juwangsan Jeolgol–Gamebong Trail
A reservation-managed hiking route in Juwangsan National Park linking the quiet Jeolgol valley with Gamebong, combining stream scenery, forest and a substantial mountain ascent.
Checked the Korea National Park Service trail guide on 7 October 2026. This year’s managed season runs through 14 November; the Jeolgol–Gamebong round trip is 5.7 km and takes about six hours. Daily capacity is 1,350, with online reservation or on-site registration. Heavy rain, typhoon alerts or rising stream levels can close the trail; check on the day and bring slip-resistant hiking shoes.
Why go
Choose this route if you want a more committed Juwangsan hike than the park’s short valley walks. It suits experienced day hikers who can handle a long outing and are willing to plan around entry cutoffs, reservation capacity and weather-related closures.
