Jangsan Mountain and Daecheon Park Hiking Routes
Start at Daecheon Park in Haeundae's Jwa-dong for a very different Busan experience: a gentler park-and-valley walk or a more demanding hike past Yangun Falls, rocky scree, silver-grass fields and the Jangsan summit. The beach is not the trailhead.

Jangsan's rocky scree field photographed in 2009. Not evidence of 2026 trail access or safety.
Bandoche / Wikimedia CommonsSources & further readingAn autumn inland alternative to Haeundae's beaches. A June 2026 hiker documented an approximately 11.16-km/four-hour extended loop via Gugoksan, but that is one personal route, not a standard itinerary. Stay on marked trails and check weather and any summit restrictions.
Why go
For an easier outing, turn back after the park entrance and valley paths. Fit hikers can head toward Pokposa, Yangun Falls, rock fields, silver-grass meadows and city-and-sea views from the summit. Visit Busan describes one roughly three-hour outing; actual round-trip times vary, and the summit trail is not wheelchair- or stroller-accessible.
