Why it matters now

The official Templestay program is active through 2026, including programs for international visitors. One important limitation remains: the current Haeinsa Templestay listing says weekend interior pilgrimage access to Janggyeong Panjeon has been temporarily restricted since March 29, 2025, so verify the exact access available on your date.

Why go

Come for the scale and historical weight of the temple complex, then stay for the mountain setting rather than rushing through. It suits heritage-focused travelers and visitors interested in a deeper temple experience, including official templestay programs.
