Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
A Buddhist temple on the rocky Gijang coast, best known for the unusual combination of temple architecture and open East Sea views. It is a major eastern-Busan stop that pairs naturally with Osiria and the coastal walking route.
The temple is a year-round stop and the current Visit Busan listing shows daily hours of 04:30–19:20 with last entry at 18:50. Because it is an active religious site, quiet behavior and temple etiquette matter even when visiting primarily for the view.
Why go
Come for a temple visit that feels very different from an inland mountain temple: stairs, sea-facing viewpoints, sunrise scenery and a short connection to the Haeparang coastal trail. It is especially useful as the cultural anchor of an Osiria/Gijang day.
