Gyeongui Line Forest Park — Yeonnam walking route
An approximately 6.3-kilometer linear park following a former railway corridor through Mapo and Yongsan. The Yeonnam-dong segment ('Yeontral Park') is a convenient walk from Hongik University Station Exit 3, while the full park stretches much farther; do not treat the Yeonnam meeting point as the address of the entire park.
A durable weekend itinerary anchor near Hongdae even when temporary pop-up event schedules change. Check individual businesses separately for hours, reservations and pricing; no festival or market opening is implied solely by the park's existence.
Why go
An easy starting point for a low-cost Seoul afternoon: leave Hongik University Station at Exit 3, stroll the leafy Yeonnam section, then explore nearby independent cafés, local shops and Hongdae streets. For a longer walk, choose another park segment rather than assuming the whole 6.3 km is one short loop.
