Why it matters now

Official October 2026 notices were rechecked on October 4. From September through April the museum operates 10:00–22:00. October 1–5 are normal operating days and October 6 is closed. For September–October, night observation runs 19:30–21:30 at 30-minute intervals. The exhibition hall and observatory allow on-site ticketing, while the planetarium normally uses Naver session reservations with some extra same-day screenings.

Why go

It gives families, science-minded travelers and couples a reason to stay on Ganghwa after dark. The main value is timing a telescope or planetarium session; if weather prevents observing, the telescope session can be replaced by an observatory tour.
