Sancheong Donguibogam Village

A large traditional-Korean-medicine themed cultural and wellness complex at the foot of Wangsan and Pilbongsan in Sancheong. It combines the Sancheong Museum of Korean Medicine, exhibition halls, herb gardens, themed parks, forest walks, experience facilities and accommodation around the cultural history of Donguibogam and local medicinal-herb traditions.

Why it matters now

The 26th Sancheong Medicinal Herb Festival is running here through October 11, 2026, so the village currently has additional festival programs and crowds. Outside festival dates, it remains a year-round destination, while the main exhibition halls and museum normally close on Mondays and selected major holidays.

Why go

Go to understand how Sancheong presents traditional Korean medicine as local history, museum culture, landscape and tourism in one place. The most useful visit is to combine the exhibition halls with outdoor paths and one or two optional hands-on experiences rather than treating the site as medical treatment.
