Why it matters now

In October 2026 the museum is showing its 15th-anniversary exhibition on Daegu student anti-Japanese movements through November 29, plus a 1945-1948 liberation-period theme exhibition through February 14, 2027. For the current holiday calendar it is open October 3-5 and closed October 6 as a substitute closure.

Why go

A strong downtown stop for travelers interested in architecture, independence-era history and how Daegu changed through the 20th century. It is compact enough to pair with Gyeongsanggamyeong Park and the Jungangno area, and works well on a rainy or very hot day.
