Daegu Kansong Art Museum
A Daegu branch presenting Korean art and cultural heritage preserved by Kansong Jeon Hyeong-pil through permanent and special exhibitions. It is the first regional branch of the Kansong Art Museum in Seoul. In autumn 2026, visitors can see a Jeong Seon anniversary exhibition and a gallery devoted to Shin Yun-bok’s 〈Portrait of a Beauty〉.
Checked October 10, 2026. The Jeong Seon 350th-anniversary exhibition, “Jeong Seon: Painting Joseon Through Joseon Eyes,” and the permanent 〈Portrait of a Beauty〉 gallery are both scheduled September 16–December 27. The museum says the special exhibition presents about 200 representative works. Check date- and time-slot availability, discounts and any gallery changes in the official ticket system before setting out.
Why go
A good fit for visitors interested in Korean old-master painting and the Kansong collection, including the Hunminjeongeum Haerye and Shin Yun-bok’s 〈Portrait of a Beauty〉. Pair it with the neighboring Daegu Art Museum to compare traditional and contemporary art in one outing; the architecture and outdoor stone courtyard are also part of the visit.
