Why it matters now

Rechecked on 4 October 2026 against the current Korean official visitor guide. From March through October the museum is open 09:00–18:00 with last admission at 17:00; November through February it is open 09:00–17:00 with last admission at 16:00. Adult individual admission is 2,000 won (1,800 won for groups of 20 or more); youth/military rates are lower and preschool children and visitors age 65+ are among the free categories. Group visits should reserve in advance; ordinary individual visitors do not need a group reservation.

Why go

Visit before or after the Jisan-dong tomb area to understand what the mounds represent rather than seeing them only as scenery. The museum is especially useful for archaeology and ancient-history travelers, while the reconstructed royal-tomb interior makes the burial culture easier to grasp.

Getting thereThe museum is in Daegaya-eup and does not have rail or metro access at the site. Road or taxi access is simplest; the official English pages reviewed did not provide a current foreign-language local-bus route, so public-transport travelers should verify the last-mile route before departure.Find directions on NAVER Map ↗1203 Daegaya-ro, Daegaya-eup, Goryeong-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do
