Daebyeon Port
An active fishing harbor on Gijang's coast with working boats, quayside shops and the local anchovy/seafood trade. It is a lived-in port stop, distinct from inland Gijang Market, Ilgwang Beach and the Osiria resort zone.

cezzie901 / Wikimedia Commons / FlickrSources & further readingThe harbor is a recurring local-food and coastal-culture stop. Older visitor photos and seafood festival reports describe the port's identity but are not evidence of 2026 live fishing activity, stall prices, access restrictions or events. Check harbor safety signs and any construction/closure notices on the day, especially when weather is poor.
Why go
See fishing-port scenery and the everyday seafood trade rather than a theme-park attraction. A practical short visit is to walk the publicly accessible harborfront, observe boats and harbor stalls, and choose lunch nearby. Keep away from active loading zones and do not assume fishing work or stalls run on a tourist timetable. Travel by local bus or taxi from central Gijang; it is not a seamless walk from Gijang Market.
