Choryang Ibagu-gil
A roughly 1.5 km hillside heritage walk behind Busan Station, joining the former Baekje Hospital and Namseon Warehouse site, alley murals, 168 Stairs and Kim Min-bu viewpoint, Myeongnan Brand Lab and sanbok-doro exhibits. The start is near the station but much of the route climbs residential slopes.

Busan Tourism Organization / Busan Metropolitan City Galmaetgil Photo GallerySources & further readingThe former 168-Stairs monorail was replaced by an inclined elevator in March 2025, but its daily operating hours and a fully step-free route are unverified. Dong-gu currently lists Myeongnan Brand Lab Tue–Sun 10:00–19:00, closed Monday/public holidays (051-462-9182); another 2026 guide says some days until 21:00, so verify evening visits. The Oct 16–18 Chinatown Festival is mainly around Busan Station/Chinatown, not uniform opening hours for all Ibagu-gil facilities.
Why go
From Busan Metro Station exit 7, begin with the former hospital and warehouse site, then follow the heritage alleys to the foot of the 168 Stairs. Climb or take the inclined lift if it is running; pause at the mid-slope Kim Min-bu viewpoint for North Port views before proceeding uphill toward Myeongnan Brand Lab. Choose a short viewpoint visit or a longer walk with heritage stops. Large suitcases, pushchairs and step-free travel remain difficult; respect homes and residents.
