Choi Min-sik Gallery

A free photography gallery on the second floor of the Ami Culture Learning Center, presenting documentary photographer Choi Min-sik's work on ordinary and marginalized lives in 1960s–70s Busan. It gives the Ami-dong hillside route an indoor historical stop rather than leaving the area as only alleys and viewpoints.

Why it matters now

The gallery is one of the five current stops in the Ami-Cheonma Purple Stamp Tour running through December 31, 2026, and is also included in the current Ami-Cheonma-Songdo Panorama Tour. This makes it a practical midpoint between the village and the newer observatory.

Why go

The gallery helps connect the physical refugee-era landscape outside with human-scale documentary images from postwar Busan. It is small enough to combine with Ami-dong Tombstone Culture Village and, for fit visitors, the climb toward Cheonmasan.
