Cheongnamdae
A former presidential retreat on the wooded shore of Daecheong Lake, now open as a public heritage and park complex with preserved buildings, exhibitions and walking routes.
Rechecked on 4 October 2026. Regular hours remain 09:00–18:00, with ticketing/entry ending at 16:30. Standard individual admission is 6,000 won for adults, 4,000 won for youth and 3,000 won for children; parking is free. Wheelchairs, strollers and walking aids can be borrowed free while available, but an ID is required. Dogs are limited to outdoor areas and must be leashed with waste bags; carrying a muzzle is recommended.
Why go
Worth considering for travelers interested in modern Korean state history, large landscaped grounds and lakeside walking in one visit. The site is extensive enough to feel more like a half-day park-and-museum outing than a single building.
