Busan Children's Grand Park and Seongjigok Reservoir
A large forest park in Choeup, Busanjin-gu, with a historic water reservoir, walking decks and wooded paths. Visitors can explore the reservoir on a short outing or use it as a gateway to a more demanding Galmaetgil mountain walk.
Busan announced plans in February 2026 to transition the long-closed zoo within the park to public operation, aiming for a full opening in 2027. Do not assume zoo access is currently available.
Why go
A practical 1.5-to-2-hour forest-and-reservoir walk away from the coast. The nearby education buildings have separate schedules, and the Galmaetgil 7-1 route extends for 9 km through mountain terrain.
