Banpo Hangang Park
A major riverside park on the south bank of Seoul's Hangang River, linking Jamsugyo Bridge, Banpodaegyo's Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, Moonlight Square, nearby Seoraeseom Island and Some Sevit. The official tourism-guide address, 40 Sinbanpo-ro 11-gil, refers to the Banpo information center, not every event entrance. From Express Bus Terminal Station (Lines 3/7/9), Exit 8-1, Visit Seoul lists about 1.1 km to the park; walking times depend on your destination. Riverside walking is generally free, while food, activities and indoor venues may cost extra. On autumn festival Sundays, Jamsugyo Bridge has separate road closures. Confirm current water-level, weather and event notices before traveling.
Sunday, October 11 brings the Car-Free Jamsugyo Festival (14:00–22:00) and an announced 19:00–22:00 Moonlight Jamsugyo light display. Bridge vehicle restrictions are planned from 12:00 until midnight. Other Sunday editions run October 18 and 25 with different programs; confirm any last-minute change.
Why go
Walk beside the river and combine bridge lights with Some Sevit or Seoraeseom. The riverside itself is not tied to one showtime, but fountain operations, indoor opening hours and paid activities are. Seoul also advertises a free 2026 sightseeing loop vehicle connecting Dongjak Station, Seoraeseom and Some Sevit until November 30, subject to operating and weather restrictions.
