Baesan Fortress Site & Forest Trails, Busan
An urban woodland walk around Baesan (about 256 m) with traces of a fortress dated to the Three Kingdoms–Unified Silla periods. The trail and protected archaeological remains are distinct; do not enter fenced excavation areas.
Yeonje District reports archaeological surveys through 2024, including walls, ancient water reservoirs and a wooden tablet. The April 2026 guided heritage walk is finished. Check on-site restrictions before entering any archaeological section.
Why go
For a Baesan Station approach, take Metro Line 3, Exit 6; Visit Busan estimates a further 20-minute walk to the trail. Alternatively start at Yeonsan-dong Ancient Tombs from Yeonsan Station (Lines 1 and 3). Explore the forest, viewpoints and the route toward the historic reservoir remains. Expect dirt paths, climbs and steps, not a step-free promenade.
