Ahopsan Forest

A privately preserved forest in Midong Village, Cheolma, Gijang, with towering bamboo groves, old pines and other trees. This is an inland destination, not a walkable extension of the Osiria coastal attractions.

Why it matters now

2026 travel reporting confirms the attraction, but reservation details conflict: the Korea Tourism Organization lists advance booking while a recent guide describes individual walk-in admission. Winter closing hours also vary by source; call +82-51-721-9183 before visiting.

Why go

Walk beneath dense bamboo canopies and among old trees. Expect natural dirt paths and some slopes rather than an entirely level or accessible city park. Stay on the marked trail.
